Quality Lawn Programs and Services

Let us take the guesswork out of your Lawn!!!

Fertilization is the key to a healthy lawn. Your lawn receives four feedings throughout the year. Each feeding is made using time-released fertilizers that are formulated for the specific needs of your lawn at the time of the application. No common agriculture fertilizers are ever used.

The Components of an Annual Lawn Care Program include:

  • Crabgrass Prevention & Annual Weed Prevention: In early spring, along with fertilization, the lawn should receive an application of Pre-emergent Crabgrass prevention with weed control. This will prevent crabgrass and annual weeds from invading your lawn throughout the season.

  • Broadleaf Weed Control: In mid-spring, along with fertilization, the lawn should receive an application of Post-emergent weed control. This clears out dandelions and more than 50 other common lawn weeds.

  • Summer Feeding: In the summer, fertilizer is applied to continue feeding the lawn.

  • Fall Feeding: In the fall, a special feeding known as "winterizing" is designed to carry the gains made this year into next spring. That's how great lawns are made - by compounding the improvement from one season to the next.

  • Core Aeration: With this procedure, we remove small plugs of soil throughout your lawn to improve the flow of air, water, and fertilizer into the root zone of the lawn. This remedies "root choking" compacted soil problems. It is also effective in reducing the build-up of thatch in the lawn. If any thin or bare spots have occurred during the coarse of the year, this is the optimal time for over-seeding.

  • Over-seeding: For lawn types that can be seeded to fill in thin or bare spots, we provide a full seeding service. We use the finest quality grass seed and starter fertilizer to get the new seedlings off to a fast, strong start.

REMEMBER: Annual Lawn care programs are cyclical, with no defined beginning or end. You can start anywhere in the cycle and move on to successive points.

When you sign up for our Annual Lawn Care program, you will receive continuous monitoring of your lawn. Your lawn is inspected, and each treatment recorded to insure that it is progressing on schedule. Your lawn is also monitored for insects and disease such as grubs and brown patch. Should you ever have a question or concern about your lawn, call or e-mail us and we will evaluate the problem at no charge to you. Give us a call or Email for prices and additional information.

Regular Nutrition is the key!!

Aside from the basics of mowing and watering, the single most important thing you can do for your lawn is to provide proper nutrition by fertilizing. That's because no soil, even the richest topsoil, contains sufficient nutrients to produce an attractive lawn. Most folks nowadays realize that fertilizing is important. So they feed their lawn occasionally, maybe one or two times a year. With one or two more feedings, you can tell a big difference. However, no lawn fed just once or twice a year can ever look its best. That's because grass can't thrive on a feast or famine diet, and one or two feedings a year means that the lawn is going hungry most of the time.

To develop a thick, hardy turf with a robust root system, the lawn must have a continuous supply of nutrients throughout the growing season. Because proper nutrition improves lawn strength, it also helps to prevent the problems that attack weak lawns. With an Annual Lawn Program, you will apply a fertilizer about every two months throughout the growing season. This generally works out to four applications a year.

O. G. Myths and Facts:

Myth: Fertilizing means more mowing

Fact: It doesn't have to. But if you use a fertilizer composed of quick release nitrogen, grass will grow fast. Such fertilizers are a feast or famine diet for grass. A high quality fertilizer feeds lawns steadily, which means the grass grows steadily, too.
